  1. Make ready sweet potatoes
  2. Make ready milk (not sure if exact amount, just don't put too much)
  3. Get cream
  4. Prepare garlic, minced
  5. Take nutmeg
  6. Prepare heaped teaspoon paprika
  7. Take sabji masala - (I use MDH brand from indian store)
  8. Prepare Approximately, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  9. Take salt/pepper

  1. Wash and thinly slice potatoes using a round potato slicer of some sort. Drain moisture from potatoes using paper towels.
  2. Mix the milk, cream, spices, garlic, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
  3. In an oven safe dish, spread out some potatoes and then pour in some of the milk mixture. Repeat this until both are finished.
  4. Cook the gratin in the oven at 180C for 1 hour or until cooked.
  5. Put the cheese on top 10 minutes before the gratin has finished cooking.
