  4. Put back on the heat and keep mixing with a wooden spoon until texture of mixture appears slightly grainy.
  5. Remove from the heat again and add milk a small amount at a time, stirring until all mixed in. A balloon whisk is a good tool for this job.
  6. Bring the heat back up, stirring gently until the sauce thickens.
  7. Stir in two thirds of the cheese until melted through.
  8. Place the cooked pasta in an oven proof dish and pour the cheese sauce over.
  9. Add remaining cheese on top and then sprinkle breadcrumbs over the dish.
  10. Finally, place slices of salami on top and finish under the grill until salami is starting to crisp and top is starting to become golden - approx 4-5 minutes depending on your grill.
